Darlene A. Rouse

started her painting career while stuck on the outskirts of a little town in Texas. Instead of wasting time she asked God to show her what she could do. She thought she would try to paint a mural on her kitchen wall while praying. During this time she realized this was her answer. She was commissioned to paint a mural in a new restaurant on the town square. From that time forward she never turned back. With God's guidance she developed this gift and commissioned work came on a regular basis. During her past travels around the world, she saw many great works of art; her most memorable was going through The Hermitage in St. Petersburg, Russia, where her passion for mural work and European Art ignited. Now residing in Opelika Alabama, she paints on canvas and hardwood instead of traveling and climbing scaffolding, where she can be available to her three children.
